The punk spirit of British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood's is one of Claudia Caviezel's driving inspirations. Caviezel's nonpareil textile designs go hand-in-glove with Westwood's iconic and idiosyncratic fashion. Her translucent polyester organza transfer print dégradé DUSK textile was designed for Jacob Schaelpfer and chosen by Westwood for her Spring 2009 prêt-à-porter collection FUSION. Caviezel's organza textile is wildly beautiful, yet so unconventional it bedazzled a Vogue reporter who described the Westwood jacket and gown made with the organza as clear plastic. Vogue went on to laud the ensemble as “in its very madness, it was classic Westwood”.
