Is it a universal truth that textile designers also collect textiles? It's true for Claudia Caviezel. Her growing collection is driven by her love of textiles combined with serendipitous acquisition rather than intentional collecting. There are no rules for her collection; anything from humble to haute couture is a candidate for her collection as long as it is intriguing and inspirational. Her collection includes textiles and related objects from her global travels, plus antique, vintage, old, new, handmade and machine-made cloth, artisan weavings, printing samples and tests, and fibres and yarns.
