Textile Mural in Tropical Hotel Reception

Almost half of Singapore is urban green space which inspired its nickname city in a garden. Claudia Caviezel returns repeatedly to the theme of nature and gardens, making her fantasy landscape digital print mural the perfect centrepiece for Fairmont's grand reception entrance. Singapore’s tropical climate and diverse mix of cultures are reflected in Caviezel's choice of vibrant shades of yellow, golds, and a range of crimson pinks that shimmer in the tropical light. Singapore's tropical garden identity is reflected in her choice of twining vines, insects, snakes, birds and butterflies, with subtle passages of lace patterns that reflect Caviezel's native Switzerland.
