Claudia Caviezel's contemporary interpretation of the Indonesian craft of batik started with a design of ink drops on paper and ended in a collection of cushions digitally printed on cotton velour. Caviezel's collection designs include patterns inspired by ink on folded paper which when unfolded creates kaleidoscope designs and a Scottish tartan-like effect. After each pattern is hand designed on paper, it is scanned and the design developed further digitally.
