Founded by students at the Lucerne School of Art and Design as an exhibition venue and platform for art and discourse, The Refreshment Room was the site of Claudia Caviezel's 2002 exhibition. Unlike the famous teetering mattress pile of the fairytale princess with acute sensory ability, Caviezel's stacked mattresses brazenly and bravely barricade a doorway, while wall plinths support her stacks of folded textiles.
