Claudia Caviezel is drawn to the materials, tactility, and handmade process of ceramics. Her first ceramics project was her Atelier Pfister-supported residency at a ceramics manufacturer in Portugal. Outcomes included experiments with sprayed glaze, and her process for 3D glazes where she controls reactive glazes while also allowing them freedom to react uniquely during firings. Caviezel's ceramic exploration and research continues and includes experiments with tiles for domestic interiors.
