Claudia Caviezel's unique approach to a broad palette of materials and techniques and her continual exploration and innovation are the criteria for which she was awarded the prestigious Swiss Grand Prix for Design in 2016. The award recognised the singular way in which Caviezel mixes traditional Swiss textile patterns, design, colours, and manufacturing techniques with her fresh international perspective and dedication to creating an outcome tailored to the ultimate location of the commission. Caviezel's signature mix of handmade and digital processes underlies all her designs.
